What is a volume lash?

Volume lashes refer to super-light lashes (starting at 0.03 mm) that are made in the shape of a fan before being applied to individual natural lashes. This technique increases the number of eyelashes by more than 700 extensions per eye, giving you a spectacular look with unparalleled fullness.

Volume lashes

are lighter, fluffier and give the customer a fuller look. Voluminous lashes are perfect for clients who don't have a lot of eyelashes, have sparse eyelashes, bald spots, or simply want a more dramatic look without having to use thicker lashes.

Volume lashes are a technique in which multiplied eyelash extensions are folded out in a fan and applied to a natural eyelash (one to several). A volume set is a more advanced technique in which a range of multiple extensions is applied to each natural eyelash. These extensions are also thinner to ensure that the fans are lightweight and don't tighten your natural lashes. Depending on your eyelash technician and the style you're looking for, this could mean between 2 and 15 extensions per natural eyelash (usually expressed as 2D-15D).

Overall, 2D-6D is the most common range for volume sets. Anything greater than 6D is sometimes referred to as a megavolume or Russian volume. To make volume eyelash extensions, we attach 3 to 8 eyelash extensions to a natural eyelash. This is possible thanks to the creation of fans, a group of extensions that are glued and glued to the same natural eyelash.

To avoid adding too much weight to the client's eyelashes and making those fans the right size, it is necessary to use superfine false. It is recommended to use eyelashes from 0.05 mm to 0.07 mm for voluminous eyelash extensions (in comparison, we use eyelashes from 0.15 mm to 0.18 mm in diameter for classic eyelashes). It is created by unfolding several eyelashes and applying them to a single natural eyelash. This eyelash extension will give your clients a fuller, fluffier and more dramatic look.

Allows a high level of customization to achieve the desired look. I opted for a classic set of eyelash extensions, but Yuel suggested that I try volume eyelash extensions. A classic set is when only one extension is glued to each natural eyelash. It adds length and thickness and is ideal for people who already have a good amount of eyelashes.

Voluminous eyelashes are a newer and more innovative technique in which several extensions are attached to an eyelash to give more dimension and texture. They provide a fuller look and require more skill. Technicians usually create custom fans of several eyelashes to put on each hair, you can have two to six extensions attached to each individual natural eyelash, depending on how dramatic you want to look. Of course, 3D eyelash extensions and other volumes will probably give you eyelashes that you won't stop looking at.

When applying a high volume fan, you must ensure that the fan is only applied to a natural eyelash and that it is not sticky (this is true for any application). So while many LivBay Lash artists love using the J-curve for voluminous eyelashes, that doesn't automatically mean that you do too. This is a great way to add length and modify the natural shape of eyelashes, however, people who lack volume or want an extra boost, can't get much out of classic eyelash sets. Volume eyelash extensions range from an extremely natural look that adds some length and volume (2D and 3D eyelashes), to a very dramatic and complete look (5D up).

You can try voluminous lashes for the first time and get the beautiful Kardashian look, just as they first popularized it. The mega-volume makes insulation difficult because the base of the lash line becomes too thick with all the fans. Making volume series requires a considerable amount of skill and it's important that you find an experienced eyelash artist for it. In the image below, you can compare a client of mine without eyelash extensions, with a set of natural volumes and with a set of divine volumes.

The hybrid provides more texture and adds volume and length to your client's lashes, resulting in a subdued look without a full-volume appearance. Due to the precision required and the caliber of the extensions used, eyelashes with volume will obviously cost more. This is because voluminous eyelashes require a higher level of skill and a greater investment of time on the part of the technician, since they make the fans by hand beforehand. A volume fan uses 2 to 5 extensions with a diameter of 0.05 to 0.07 mm, while a large volume fan uses 6 to 16 extensions with a diameter of 0.03 to 0.05 mm.

When comparing a volume fan with a single extension, the negative space is the space that a single flange extension would otherwise occupy. After talking to the previous customer, I gave her a daily volume set that wouldn't damage her eyelashes and would maintain her design after 3 weeks. . .
